NJ Fall Skills Academy

Want to sharpen your skills and stay active in the off season? Come join us for our Fall Skills Academy at Middletown High School South. This program will be run by our DLT Program Coordinator and Coach, Nick Filippone. 

 

Mini laxers is open to both boys and girls in which they will use games to learn basic lacrosse skills and develop a love for the game. Emphasis will also be on character building such as team work, sportsmanship, respect and communication.

Required equipment- sneakers and a lacrosse stick.

For the older grades, the Fall Skill Academy is intended for all levels of experience for boys only.  Beginners will learn the technique required for consistent throwing, catching, ground balls, shooting and defense through personalized instruction. For the more experienced players, coaches will use more advanced concepts and innovative strategy to gain a distinct advantage on the playing field. A majority of this training will be contact-free and geared toward sharpening their skill set. All equipment is required for this training (cleats, helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads).

Goalie, defense (long pole) and face off training will be implemented in the Fall Skill Academy.
